David Schauer

David Schauer is the Chief Investment Officer of Hanson McClain Advisors.  His experience and knowledge are reflected in his credentials. David graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics. He earned a Master’s of Science degree in Financial Analysis (MSFA) from the University of San Francisco. David is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Certified Fund Specialist (CFS), and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC). David is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

David's financial background makes him a valuable guest speaker on KFBK's financial news talk radio program Money Matters and the lead of Hanson McClain's investment committee.  David has been part of the firm since 1998 and has seen the growth firsthand. “I enjoy meeting with clients but nothing is more rewarding than when they send their friends and family to Hanson McClain."

Outside of the office, David enjoys an assortment of activities including running, cycling, and swimming. David combines these activities to train for a 1/2 Iron Man triathlon.
